on the environmental pollution, Brazil leads the list as number one environmental polluter in the world. The nations were ranked as per various factors which included the use of fertilisers, deforestation,
per capita carbon emission, water pollution
, air pollution, marine captures, loss of habitat
, threat to various species,
emission of green house gases etc.
The list of top 10 worst environmental polluters is as follows according to their ranking:
- United States (US)

The recent study has proved that the high level of education, environment friendly technology and awareness among common people
about green environment has not worked.
Professor Corey Bradshaw, University of Adelaide's environment institute said that the small countries were better in ranking. Environmental pollution has a direct proportionality with the wealth. The richer you are, more damage you will do to the environment. The growing economies pollutes the environment heavily.
With more and more coal powered power generation plants being launched in china every month, China has overtaken US in terms of carbon dioxide emission. China is turning out to be the biggest polluter in the world.
